Former employee (Former Employee) says"There is not much I could say that would sound positive and I am not comfortable misleading others. You will regret working for this organization. All management from all sites are incompetent, petty, and disrespectful. It's the typical give a small amount of power to those who crave it and watch how often they abuse it. Do not do it to yourself. You deserve better. We all do. Cons: Everything else."
Residence Program Specialist (Former Employee) says"Work-life balance"
Direct Support Professional (Former Employee) says"Run not walk away from this company, poor structure, no leadership, and the compensation needs to be re-evaluated! Staff are treated like work horses, working on new attempts at trying to make improvements that only seemed to please management and not the people we support."
Staff (Former Employee) says"Staff talks with too many personal convo's&too many opinions. Director should observe staff & workers not rely on unpredictable varying input from others who look to match whose alike them."
Habilitation Specialist (Former Employee) says"This place is by far the worst agency ever. Understaffed, high turnover rate, management who don't care about their staff and old employees who think they are your boss. This company only cares about money and not the well being of the people who have disabilities."
Senior Residential Program specialist (Current Employee) says"Worst place to work. Management don't know what they are doing. Staff don't care about individuals. It's all about money and how they can get more money from the government. Forces 90+ year olds to go to another program everyday even if they don't not want to just so they can bill and get more money. As a regular staff you are expected to be a nurse too. You are responsible for the health of the individual and the actually nurses never stop by and check on the individuals leaving them for us to diagnose their sickness. The homes are filthy and bugs everywhere. Broken toilets and showers. Beds, clothes, ECT all tattered and stained and not something any normal person would dress their kids up in. Giving $150 for clothing shopping 2 times a year. Enough to go to primary and get mostly underwear and socks. This company does not deserve to broken. Run so badly and I want no part of this neglect. Cons: Everything"

If you bring concerns to HR VPs will black list you immeditely blocking all career growth.....Bronx locations are ratchet, the directors there think theyre the best and talk trash about all the other programs. Cons: short breaks, lits of paper work and racism"
Finacial Technician (Former Employee) says"I worked for UCP at the time before they changed the day. It was a horrible experience for me because they were very racist, constantly bullied & did treat me fairly. Recruiter (Current Employee) says"Too many meetings, not enough time to perform work functions, poor training and organizational development Cons: no time for lunch break"

People talk down on those with disabilities. There is absolutely no management or structure. The workers are all miserable, nobody smiles and everyone talks about you. The worst part were how the children were treated.. broke my heart I had to leave."

Day Habilitation Assistant (Former Employee) says"miserable staff, too much work for too little money Rules only adhere to certain workers. Worst job that I ever took. They are nothing but lies. The management does not care about its workers like they say they do. I would not recommend this job to anyone."
Habilitation Specialist (Current Employee) says"Poor management and they hire anyone. Management a barely write a proper sentence and barely knows what they're doing. During the "pandemic" they're complaining about everything mediocre, adding extra task but no extra pay. This job is slavery at it best!"
Residential Program Specialist (Current Employee) says"Management is beyond unprofessional and show favoritism. They will call an investigation for the dumbest things just to get staff fired. They do everything last minute and are never all on the same page. The rules are constantly changing without any notice which is beyond annoying. All employees get paid the same rate regardless of duties. Which is absurd."

The directors are disrespectful and cause a hostile work environment, this place is the last stop for when you really can’t find better work because they slave you for pennies and treat the people serve really bad and when good people speak on it they get ignored they don’t even listen to the people they serve this place is terrible and needs to be looked into I feel so bad for the people served to have to live this way everyday of their lives."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"I worked at ADAPT Community Network full-time Cons: By Adapts actions it can be said they do not care for the people they have promised to educate and serve. They definitely don’t care for their staff members (who work for pennies - to help the top players make most of the money). It’s been very heart breaking watching these people who are already at a disadvantage in society to be taken advantage of."
Former Employee - Habilitation Specialist says"I worked at ADAPT Community Network full-time for less than a year Cons: Very poor management system. A system of dishonesty and work ethic that lack integrity. Management have a "bully" attitude towards their employees and they also talk down to employees. Disrespectful senior operations managers who think they are irreplaceable. Very high turnover rate Lack of proper training"
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"I worked at ADAPT Community Network full-time for more than 5 years Cons: No united front on staten Island . Staff is petty. Needs stronger top admin & leadership. Top admin are not involved appropriately with children & staff. It's report first not solve directly first. Si Leadership is substandard . Low morale. Paras are sent home if child leaves unalike other places find them work and pat till end of day. Paras are followed around by staff unalike other places highly controlling atmosphere. There's a Gotchu you attitude with TA's & some top admin rather than speak to person to give them a chance to correct.
